From a pvp perspective, an opponent using a buckler or small leather shield is obviously going for a parry, whereas an opponent using a caestus in their offhand is a little less likely to spam for parries.Personally I prefer the Parrying Dagger, however if you want a shield, go with a upgraded Buckler.
